It was the first day of spring break today :)

The fabric was already cut in pieces a looong time ago but I didn't have time to sew.

お休み

今日から生徒がミネアポリスでコンクールに参加しているので(いつもはついていくのですが、今回は辞退)、仕事はお休みです。

なので普段はできない事をしようと考え思いついたのは、ずっと行ってみたかったのに日曜は閉店なのでなかなか行く機会がなかったカフェへ。

ウィニペグで1番おいしい(らしい)コーヒーが飲めるカフェで、カフェオレを注文しました。初めてだからブラックにすればよかったなーと後悔。。。

こんなハガキをもらいました。

そしてファーマーズマーケットへ。

バイソンの肉がヘルシーらしいと聞いたので、それ目的で行ったのですが、値段があまりにも高くて断念。バックウィート(そばの実?)のハチミツを購入して帰ってきました。

普段は仕事をしている時間が急に空くと妙に時間が長く感じられ、かといって部屋の掃除。。。と考えると"せっかくの休みなのにー"という思いになり、今日購入したハチミツを使ってマフィンを焼くことにしました。

ココナッツの粉を使うレシピなのでグルテンフリーだし、ズッキーニを使ってカサ増しするので、普通のマフィンよりはヘルシーなはず。

間にあったー！

前にちらっとだけブログで書いた、マスタープログラム（大学院）への入学の道はまだ続いています。

今日は、エッセイの提出期限でした。

学校側から送られてきた論文（みっちり１５ページ！）を元に、それについて自分のバレエ教師としての経験や意見を交えつつ３千ワードの論文を２週間で仕上げるという過酷なもので、元の論文を読んだり、他にも参考になる文献を探しては読んだりしている間にどんどん時間は過ぎてゆき、、、

でも昨夜完成！今朝、もう一度読み直しをしてからなんとか期限内に提出することができました。

これで合格しないんだったら（もし何かの間違いで合格してもしんどいだけなので）、 目標を切り替えて他の事に集中します。チェケッティのライセンシエイトという教師資格も次の１、２年で取る予定なので、それの勉強もあるし！

私の書いた論文をちょっとだけ紹介。イントロのほんの一部です。

Aristotle considered dance to be one of “the educational activities qualifying as ends or things of value for　themselves” (Curtis, 1984, p293). Time has passed since then, and now educators are faced with the problem of determining the importance of the body and movement in school curricula. Physical activity is far too important for people to ignore, especially young students. For instance, Penney and Chandler (2000) refer to the statement by the Physical Education Association of the United Kingdom (PEAUK) that physical education “aids the development of healthy lifestyles” and it “contributes to the spiritual, moral, social and cultural awareness of young people” (p.74).

As I mentioned earlier, I was holding 4 orders.

Finally, I was able to finish one of them!

Ta-da!

The fabric I ordered is waiting at the States border to be picked up.

One more week until Spring break; hopefully, I will be able to pick up the fabric and finish the other orders during the break.

But!!
I have a deadline of a BIG assignment before the fun spring break... I will write about this later.

My ballet teaching job is getting really busy!

The exam rehearsals, sending out the exam application forms before the deadline, purchasing the props for the exam dance, final polishing of the competition pieces, etc...

I can't get rid of the feeling that I might be forgetting something :(
