今週末、Royal Winnipeg Ballet SchoolでCecchetti Manitobaのワークショップが開催されました。
The annual Cecchetti workshop was held this weekend.
土曜日は仕事があるので普段は参加しないのですが、今回はAdvanced 1レベルのMen's workの講習があり、私が近々受験しようと思っているLicentiateというTeaching Examで必要なので、最後の２クラスだけ他の先生にお願いして、Workshopに参加しました。
I usually can't go on Saturdays because I work, but I really wanted to attend the Advanced 1 men's work class this year for my Licentiate exam. So I asked someone else to teach my last two classes and went to the workshop.
５時間のTeachingの後スタジオに駆け込んだので、Warm-upもBarreもないままAdageに突入！
After 5-hour teaching, I rushed to the studio. I had no time for warm-up nor baree, and jumped into Adage.
知っている人はみんな賛成してくれると思いますが、チェケッティのアダージオはとにかく大変！！しかもメンズワークなので、音楽はゆっくり、ずっと同じ軸足、そしてとてつもないコントロールを要求されるので、重度の筋肉痛は避けられないことを覚悟の上で踊り続けました。
If you are familiar with the Cecchetti work, you would probably agree that the adage exercises are beautiful but nasty. Music is slow, dancers are required to stand on the same leg for a long time with a lot of control.
Cecchetti Diplomaを終えて以来ずーーーっと踊っていなかったのですが、２時間のクラスを踊り切りました。やればできるもんだなーと自分でもびっくりでした。
I put my ballet shoes on for the first time in probably 2 and a half years after my Cecchetti Diploma exam, but I did it! I kept on dancing full out for 2 hours!
Allegroも予想通りCecchetti色の濃いエクササイズばかり。Cecchetti Diplomaさえやりきってしっまえば、もうこんなに難しくてややこしくて大変なアレグロとはおさらばだと思っていた私の考えは甘かったようです。
Allegro exercises were also so "Cecchetti". I was excited about doing no more crazy Cecchetti Allegro steps after my Cecchetti Diploma but Advanced 1 men's allegro exercises were almost as crazy.
でも、久しぶりに踊って思ったことは、「やっぱり楽しい。」
However, What I thought after the class was "I still like dancing."
Licentiateもあることだし、来シーズンはクラスに参加しようかなと考えています（まだまだ先の話ですが。。。）
Because I want to do my Licentiate exam next season, I might/should go back to the classes next season. I will see...

January
I'm having a month off from the RAD Master's program.
大学院は１月中はお休みです。
Until the second semester starts in February, mornings should go slowly and should be enjoyable for me because I'm not reading or writing papers like crazy.
後期が始まるまで、少しゆっくりできるかなーと思っていたのは間違いで、
But it seems like there are always things to do.
やらなければいけない事はいつでも山盛りです。
This month, I have a workshop to attend, some planning to do for my students' Cecchetti exams, songs to find for the year end recital and so on.
今月は、バレエのワークショップに出席し、生徒の試験に向けての計画をたて、シーズン末のリサイタルの曲探しを始めなければいけません。
It's only been two weeks since 2015 started but I'm already thinking about finishing this season peacefully.
２０１５年が始まってからまだ２週間だというのに、今シーズンも無事に終えることばかり今から考えています。

２０１４年を振り返って。
仕事の関係上１年は９月始まり６月〆なので、１月から６月までの記憶が曖昧なのですが、 たぶんカバン作りに励んだり、大学院入試にいそしんでいたのではないかと思います。
I don't really remember what I was doing from January to June, but I was probably busy with working as usual, sewing some bags, and trying to get in the Master's program.
６月中旬に夏休みで日本に帰国。
After my students' recitals, I went back to Japan in mid June.
６月下旬に母と台湾旅行。
ツアー旅行だったので忙しかったけど、いい思い出です。
In the end of June, my mom and I went to Taiwan. We took a tour so we had a very tight schedule but it was fun!
８月下旬は大学院の準備コースのためにロンドンへ。
In the end of August, I went to London to attend the Induction seminar of the Master's program.
９月の初旬にカナダに戻ってくると、勉強と仕事で大忙しに。
I came back to Canada, and also back to the busy life with working and studying.
あっっっっという間に２０１４年が終わってしまいました。
A year flew by.
大学院の勉強や課題で忙しすぎてあきらめざるを得なかったLicentiateの勉強を、２０１５年の３月頃から必ず始めます！
I had to give up my Licentiate exam this year because I was too busy getting used to the schedule with working and studying. But I will for sure start studying for my Licentiate in March, 2015!!
